Ensure that compliance and ethics are part of the corporate culture and mindset by:
- Creating awareness among management and staff around compliance domains.
- Supporting the implementation of compliance controls or mitigating observed gaps.
- Performing second-line controls to ensure compliance controls are appropriately executed.
- Managing compliance frameworks.
- Ensure the organization conducts business in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and ethical practices.
- Support the business in preventing illegal or unethical conduct through relevant policies, training, and controls.
- Provide assurance to management that legal and regulatory frameworks are complied with through a risk-based monitoring and testing program across compliance domains such as conflict of interest market abuse, and data protection.
- Advise on the development of new products and services, ensuring regulatory changes or business developments are implemented in compliance with the law.
- Promote ethical behavior within the group through effective communication.
- Be responsible for a Compliance Key Activities across EUI.
- Perform related tasks such as controls and advisory.
- Build internal expertise in main compliance domains (e.g., market abuse, conflict of interests, CSDR, data protection).
- Suitable experience working in Compliance roles, second line or regulatory/compliance advisory, ideally at a financial market infrastructure or large financial services firm
- desirable: knowledge of Conflict of Interest, SMCR and Data Protection
- beneficial: CSDR, experience and knowledge of CPMI-IOSCO principles for financial market infrastructure.
Compliance Controls:
- Ensure the compliance monitoring plan is robust and delivered with quality.
- Coordinate team efforts, report progress, and liaise with senior business representatives.
- Manage the team performing the compliance monitoring program.
- Coordinate advisory services provided to the business through process reviews or ad hoc analysis.
- Provide compliance advice for day-to-day activities, strategic projects, and regulatory developments.
- Follow up on compliance-related gaps and issues.
- Manage the compliance advisory team.
- Ensure effective communication and awareness-raising on compliance and ethics.
- Issue policies, create and deliver training/e-learning, and use various communication channels.
- Define and maintain the training path for business staff.
- Drive the Compliance & Ethics contribution to the Corporate Social Responsibility framework.
