About the role

The role is in the 2 nd Line of Defence function at Creditspring and reporting to the Head of Compliance. The role holder will work closely with all aspects of the business to promote a customer centric culture, provide advice on relevant regulations and provide assurance to the business by helping deliver the annual compliance monitoring plan.

Responsibilities

The core duties and responsibilities of this role include the following:
  • Oversight of business policy management framework, ensuring policies are fit for purpose, up to date and is adhered to by business operational processes.
  • Provide support and guidance to the marketing team and approve financial promotions and customer communications where appropriate. Regularly review the website, customer communications and social media to ensure they comply with regulatory guidelines and deliver good customer outcomes.
  • Support delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan - to review and report on key business processes ensuring that they comply with regulatory guidelines and deliver good customer outcomes.
  • Monitor key conduct MI for signs of issues and provide advice to the business on any necessary changes to deliver improved customer outcomes.
  • Support the oversight and execution of controls relating to Conflicts of Interest and Anti-Bribery and Corruption
  • Continually monitor the way that the business is evidencing its commitment to the Consumer Duty in it's BAU activities, ensuring that it easily demonstrable to external parties.
  • Complete and submit regulatory reporting, work with the business to ensure data is captured and supplied as required within the specified period.
  • Complete due diligence on new or existing third party suppliers or partners and oversee the supply of information to them in relation to compliance or regulatory requests.
  • Support other teams across the business with compliance and regulatory advice and guidance. Ensure that the Compliance team is viewed positively and as such is asked for assistance where appropriate.
  • Oversee the mandatory compliance training ensuring it remains up to date and relevant to the business. Support the development of function specific training and guidance as required
  • Adhoc tasks as agreed with line or senior management
What you'll need to succeed

Essential:
  • A minimum of 2 year's experience from a combination of working in a 2nd line compliance function within financial services, consultancy or regulator with some experience in consumer credit
  • Working knowledge of the FCA guidelines and regulatory requirements including CONC, DISP, SYSC, PRIN, Consumer Duty and SMCR
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office software
Desirable:

  • Experience in a fintech or similarly fast paced environment
  • Understanding of GDPR
  • Working knowledge of the AML framework and regulatory/legal requirements
  • ICA Qualification
Salary band: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
