Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

CSC's compliance team provides advice and guidance to the enterprise to ensure CSC meets all of its regulatory obligations. KYC Services is the shared service tasked with managing client onboarding. The KYC Services Second Line Compliance Lead will work directly with KYC Services leadership to provide point in time, compliance advice and guidance to the First Line, and will be the initial point of contact for compliance related questions and escalations that come from KYC Services.

The role will report into and primarily support the compliance leadership team but will interact with business unit leadership, and others as required. The position will include project work and other duties that will assist the objectives of the compliance team.

Some of the things you will be doing:

  • Using pragmatic and solutions orientated judgment to help navigate compliance related issues and concerns;
  • Managing escalations as needed from our KYC Services hubs;
  • Working with all stakeholders to ensure escalations are properly and promptly reviewed and, if need be, engage the the broader Compliance structure to assist;
  • Co-ordinate focused and efficient client communication, resulting in minimal back and forth;
  • Promptly reporting any financial crime suspicions, through the appropriate channels;
  • Manage/Complete ad-hoc tasks, including helping with sanctions issues or other business critical regulatory items;
  • Develop an understanding of our enterprise financial crime policies and support local country escalations in a manner consistent with their regulatory regime;
  • Draft communications to inform our colleagues of the developments that could affect us globally and update changes within the policies and/or procedures, to improve the escalation process;
  • Pro-actively assist in the improvement of the library of onboarding due diligence and sanction forms and other process supporting documents, as needed;
  • Work with compliance leadership to understand our various country's idiosyncrasies and important business risk differences;
  • Support enterprise system testing of critical compliance applications/processes and provide feedback for improvement;
  • Contribute to the reporting of management information and the submission to relevant internal and external stakeholders, including business unit leaders of Group Compliance on number of escalations, nature of escalations and resolution of escalated files;
  • Promote common compliance standards across CSC and across service lines;
  • Provide innovative ideas on how to improve the efficiency of daily tasks; and
  • Support the wider team with various projects as needed and delivered to quality standards, deadlines, and costs.

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do you need?
  • Pragmatic and commercial judgment;
  • Significant experience in and knowledge of, AML/CTF/CPF principles, rules and regulations;
  • Effective communicator and strong teamworking skills;
  • Strong understanding of our business and pragmatic outlook on the business;
  • Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision;
  • Ability to formulate, consider and select the most appropriate solutions;
  • Able to use own initiative and be open minded;
  • Experience working within a compliance function; and
  • Project management experience (preferred).
