T.J. Jerger MGA, LLC. is growing and we are in search of an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our team!

The Compliance Specialist provides support for complaint management and responses, compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies by monitoring operations, identifying potential compliance exposures, investigating issues, and advising management on complaint matters.

What will you be doing?
  • Researches and provides information about laws and regulations that govern business practices.
  • Assists in preparing and submitting regulatory filings and following them through to completion.
  • Analyzes new legislation and assists in preparing or revising company procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Insurance department complaint review and analysis; draft complaint responses, communicate, and interact with state analysts.
  • Product development - assist in the research and development of new endorsements and coverages; underwriting guidelines/manuals.
  • Research state insurance markets for potential growth; provide regulatory summaries and market segment data; analyze competitive forces in markets.
  • Assist in monitoring claims compliance and fraud reporting.
  • Assist with OFAC compliance.
  • Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationship with co-workers and every level of management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

The Ideal Candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting
  • At least two (2) years of audit or quality assurance experience, preferably in the insurance industry
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creates effective working relationships across multiple levels and multiple functions within the organization.
  • Reliable, dependable, maintains productivity and composure under pressure.
  • Works with integrity and ethically upholds our company's core values.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and understands technology as related to Property/Casualty products, accounting systems and web-based applications.
Additional information: Our offices are located at 7785 66th St. N, Pinellas Park, FL 33781 in the Richard and Evelyn Jerger Building along with our sister companies: West Point Insurance Services, Storm King Claims, American Traditions Insurance Company and Jerger & Sons Insurance Agency. Typical office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Physical requirement:

This position is in an office environment and would require:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50%- 75% of the time.

Must be able to speak and communicate clearly to other team members.

Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine, phone/headset, and keyboard.
