Job Description

The Compliance Specialistrole assists in the broader mission of the company to foster adherence to the company's policies and procedures and reporting requirements as well as supporting the business in complying with applicable laws and regulations.

Primary Job Duties:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures as well as annual policy reviews. This includes tracking policy updates and working with all company departments to ensure timely review and renewal of policies.
  • Work on regular audits for Fair Lending and Anti Money Laundering analyzing data and preparing reports.
  • Create and file MCR quarterly reports.
  • Ongoing review and scrubbing of HMDA data. File HMDA reports annually.
  • Assist with and help coordinate regulatory (state, HUD, CFPB) examinations and inquiries.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports. Perform special projects as required.
  • Other task and assignments to support the company's compliance and legal teams.
Qualifications

Required Experience:
  • 2+ years' experience in residential lending compliance or other related experience required.
  • Experience filing both Mortgage Call Reports ("MCRs") and HMDA reports is a must for this position.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Analytical and experienced in data collection and reporting as well as technical writing.
  • Detail oriented, independent person who can independently prioritize projects and produce results. Strong research and data analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify issues and suggest alternatives to problems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Experience with CFPB, HUD or state regulatory requirements a plus.
