This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London Location) and 2 days working from home.
Responsibilities:

- Provide initial investigation of data protection incidents, escalating to senior management when necessary
- Liaise with colleagues in the business units to complete and update Data Protection Impact Assessments
- Maintain a thorough understanding of UTB's data protection policies and procedures and provide data protection advice and guidance to colleagues
- Complete Data Subject Access Requests within legislative timescales
- Work with the Data Protection Manager to complete the Bank's annual ICO Data Protection Audit Framework
- Support the Data Protection Manager in keeping key registers up to date (e.g. Record of Processing Activities)
- Work with the Data Protection Manager in delivering the Data Protection Training Plan
- Support the Data Protection Manager in completing the annual data protection control testing plan
- Provide accurate and timely management information
- Good Microsoft Office skills (e.g. Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Power BI or similar would be an advantage
- Data Protection and/or Risk Management experience would be an advantage
- A Highly organised and methodical approach with an ability to see projects through to completion
- Analytical with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- The ability to liaise effectively with operational departments and across all levels of management
- The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects at once
- A self-starting, pro-active attitude
- The ability to understand complex issues and provide clear and concise advice
- A willingness and ability to learn is key to success in this role
