The University of Manchester Facilities Maintenance and Compliance Unit are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Deputy Head of Compliance - BMS to join our team.
We are looking for a candidate that can:
Design, develop, and implement advanced BMS solutions alongside maintaining existing BMS systems to identify and correct any faults or irregularities.
Lead the controls team in the planning, development and implementation of FMC strategies across all operational units.
Lead BMS project initiatives, ensuring cost effective solutions are delivered whilst maintaining high-quality standards.
Conduct system integrations, programming, and troubleshooting of BMS components, including HVAC, lighting, and security systems.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system design specifications, operational manuals, and training materials.
As an ideal candidate you will have:
City & Guilds Qualified Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering discipline
Experience in building management systems, including system design, programming, and commissioning.
Previous experience of working with BMS systems such as Schneider Sigma/ StruxureWare and or Siemens Desigo CC.
Strong knowledge of BMS protocols and associated hardware and software.
Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to BMS applications.
