Location: This role is based in The Quadrant:MK. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant:MK, you must live within 90 minutes of The Quadrant.
Band & Salary: Band 3C Β£55,596 - Β£62,546

Brief Description
Who are we looking for? We are looking for an Enterprise Risk Account Manager for a Permanent Position (full time) in the Group Risk team. This role will provide specialist expertise and facilitate collaboration to support line managers and risk practitioners in enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Activities include aiding the identification of risks; analyses and assessment of impact on the business; and identification of mitigation measures and internal controls necessary to manage risk appropriately. The post will also support the development of our risk management framework and improving the supporting processes across the business.

About the team.. Risk management is crucial to a successful Network Rail and the Group Risk team play an integral role in orchestrating and improving the process across the organisation. We are trusted advisors to a broad range of stakeholders both within Network Rail and also the wider industry. We provide thought leadership on how we can manage risk better and help deliver change on how the business does this.
What does the average day look like? Each day as an Enterprise Risk Account Manager is different - on a typical day you will be doing some of the following:
Trusted advisor: You'll guide our business units through the risk management process. You'll be the expert, providing advice and hands-on training to help them become better at managing risks.
Prioritising Risks: You'll give specialised advice to managers so they can prioritise risks using the enterprise risk process. This will help create a solid risk-based business plan and ensure a consistent evaluation of risks across the business.
Keeping Watch: You'll make sure everyone follows the risk management process, criteria, and procedures. You'll work with risk managers to ensure they're compliant.
Improving Capabilities: Support business areas in improving their risk management skills and maturity. You'll provide feedback on how well they're complying and the quality of their risk management activities. Team up with risk coordinators and risk managers for this.
Data Alignment: Make sure that the risk data in each business unit matches the strategic risks. You'll work closely with the business units to connect the dots.
Educator Extraordinaire: Conduct risk workshops to educate and empower attendees in their roles. Make sure they understand the process, assessment criteria, and their responsibilities after the workshop. Manage the workshop process to keep everyone informed about what they need to do.
Continuous Improvement: Support the ongoing development and enhancement of our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) processes.

Essential Criteria
β’ Subject matter expert in Enterprise Risk Management
β’ Proven influencing and interpersonal skills
β’ Detailed understanding of risk process and their application in operational risk assessment methods
β’ Trained and experienced facilitator with proven experience of facilitating multifunctional groups of senior managers
Desirable Criteria
β’ Good understanding of the ERM process
β’ Experience of working in a large complex organisation in a risk capacity
β’ Proven process management and process improvement experience
β’ Experience of working in a safety critical industry
β’ Understanding of the railway industry, its key business processes and interfaces
β’ Educated to degree level
β’ Recognised qualification in risk management
