Your contribution to TenneT
As Risk Advisor you are a passionate risk management advocate and go-to expert for all business units regarding Enterprise Risk Management. This is a pivotal and high-profile role in holistic risk management, coordinating risk management requirements and activities across the company at a time of rapid change and growth.
- Support continuous improvement and maturation of the company's Enterprise Risk Management process, framework and governance system
- Identify, assess, and communicate risks that may impact the achievement of the company's vision, strategy and key objectives and provide guidance and support to business units in the identification, assessment and effective mitigation of risks.
- Be able to conduct risk assessments across all company operations/levels, identify social, environmental and business existing and potential risks.
- Support risk owners in assessing the likelihood and impact of identified risks using both qualitative and quantitative methods (e.g. using @Risk) and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies / action plans to reduce the organization's exposure to identified risks
- Risk evaluation and appetite: evaluate risk handling in the past and lead defining and tuning the company's risk appetite
- Functionally lead and upskill the Risk Coordinators' community on risk management practices and contribute to strengthening the company-wide risk awareness and culture
- Maintain the company's risk register, aggregate, and monitor the development of risks
- Risk reporting and education: tailor risk report for different audiences, able to identify key risk information and emerging risks, industry trends and inform / report to Senior Leadership Team and Executive Board
- This position requires an academic working and thinking level and a relevant university degree in Business Administration, Economics or related study areas.
- A relevant qualification ( e.g. CRMA, RA) is a plus
- You have several years' experience in Enterprise Risk Management , preferably gained in the energy industry
- You are comfortable in front of executives and senior management, can adapt to different communication styles and diverse groups, while being an active listener
- You understand and tackle complex issues with courage and effective persuasion and influence, being a skillful negotiator
- You also have strong MS Office skills and knowledge of risk management tools and quantitative methods for risk assessment is a plus
- You show a high degree of independence , initiative , and the ability to work in a team
- You are able to lead, drive and implement initiatives full cycle and independently
- You have high concern for quality, accuracy and details
- You have strong communication skills and very good written and spoken English and Dutch is a plus
