The EV Compliance Manager (also known internally as the Lead Ethics & Compliance Liaison (ECL) bp Pulse Global) is a hybrid role which drives the strategic direction of the bp Pulse global E&C programme and manages all UK EV regulatory compliance matters. Job Description:
The EV Compliance Manager (also known internally as the Lead Ethics & Compliance Liaison (ECL) bp Pulse Global) is a hybrid role which drives the strategic direction of the bp Pulse global E&C programme and manages all UK EV regulatory compliance matters. In this role you will be an Extended Leadership Team Member and will act as a trusted business advisor supporting bp Pulse to embed ethics and compliance globally across day-to-day operations by:
EV Compliance Manager
- Acting as the key business touchpoint for all UK EV regulatory compliance matters including collaborating closely with the relevant UK regulatory authorities (e.g. Office for Product Safety and Standards) to ensure conformance with local UK EV regulations
- Preparing and submitting all EV regulatory compliance documentation to OPSS and other relevant UK regulatory authorities and working closely with bp Pulse HSSE team to monitor conformance
- Acting as the key business touchpoint for all global bp Pulse ethics and compliance (E&C) enquiries, advice and assurance and serving as a speak up channel
- Leading a fit for purpose ECL Network in bp Pulse and partnering closely with the full time Regional E&C Manager bp Pulse China and part time ECL US
- Promoting bp's code, 'Who we are' and speak-up culture
- Participating in the concerns management and investigations process
- Partnering closely with the Managing ECL C&P, the central E&C function and the broader bp ECL community
- Coordinating and leading E&C governance meetings to deliver strategic insights for the bp Pulse global LT
- Identification, assessment and monitoring of all E&C risks and specific EV regulatory compliance, as well as supporting Counterparty Due Diligence, High Risk Agents, Non-Operated Joint Venture Risk Management across bp Pulse globally
- Develop and implement an ethics and compliance plan to manage the ethics and compliance risks in bp Pulse globally
- Lead assessment of E&C risks (Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering, Competition and Anti-trust, International Trade Regulations) including risks in the annual review of risk management reporting (RMR) process in conjunction with the Managing ECL for Customers & Products, central E&C function and bp Legal
- Lead and present at critical governance meetings relating to the bp Pulse global E&C programme
- Support and assist in the implementation of E&C requirements, training, and communications across bp Pulse globally
- Working with C&EA, to incorporate risk-appropriate E&C communications into the bp Pulse global annual communications plan
- Share standard processes and lessons learned with their entity/sub-entity as well as with the ECL community and the central E&C functionWorking with the Insights & Partner Lead bp Pulse to support the lobbying activities of C&EA
- Support business-level insights and actions that arise from the identification of weak signals related to the ethics and compliance/'Who we are' indicators
- Lead the E&C strategy for bp Pulse globally in close partnership with the Regional E&C Manager China and the ECL US
- Act as the "face of E&C" in the business and the 'go to' expert for support on ethics and compliance
- Clearly and consistently demonstrate commitment to our code and 'Who we are'.
- Oversee and review bp Pulse concerns, participating in Triage, appointing Qualified Local Investigators, drafting recommendations (for Local Investigations) and coordinating management action activity
- Significant experience of commercial, operational, business and JV management responsibilities including E&C and/or risk advisory experience, preferably in a start up/scale up business
- Proven track record in partnering with senior internal and external collaborators, and delivering strategic projects. Creative and analytical, with commercial skill and flexibility
- Experience in leading teams and doing business in high-risk regions
- Fluency in English required.
- Proficiency in German preferred.
