Financial Compliance Manager - Europe
Location: London (Hybrid)
Package: Negotiable + Benefits
As part of our ongoing journey of growth and building on our approach as A Forever Company™ we're looking to appoint a Financial Compliance Manager establish, improve and operate our internal control frameworks across Financial reporting for our businesses within Europe.
You'll be working with some fantastic Teammates at all levels to make sure we're ticking all the right boxes and our teams are working as compliantly and efficiently as possible.
This is a role that will have some significant potential for development as we continue our ongoing growth across the Insurance market both within the United Kingdom and Europe.
We're looking for a Teammate to join us with prior experience of the Insurance Broking / MGA / Insurer world or proven experience within practice of assisting Insurance businesses.
Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
You'll already have solid exposure to Financial Compliance within the Insurance Industry and be looking for the next step in your career where you can drive a function forwards.
You'll be a qualified accountant ACA/ACCA (or equivalent)
A well-developed skill set that includes high level Communication (Written, Verbal, Video), Analytical, Stakeholder Management, Influencing and Problem Solving skills coupled with the ability to use related Finance and IT related packages.
Exposure to SOX Controls, GAAP (including US GAAP), working knowledge of IFRS and FCA / Financial Legislation / Rules
Be comfortable when required travelling to various business locations outside of London
Exposure to Auditing of US businesses and Workday Finance is desirable but by no means essential.

- Evaluate and act upon Financial Risks, Guidelines, Controls, and Reporting.
- Administer Controls for European Profit Centers in Europe
- Controls, Setup, Users, Reference Documents, Etc. specific to European Profit Centers
- Evaluation of Control Exceptions and Deficiencies specific to European Profit Centers
- Educate and Trouble Shoot items related to Archer with European Teammates
- Administrator for late CSAs for European Profit Centers and Ensure timely resolution
- Admin in the updating of the Brown & Brown Accounting Guidelines including updating controls, processes, and procedure changes
- Manage Risk Fraud Deterrence Analysis Review for Europe specific issues
- Correspond with Financial Team Leaders in Europe
- Update, Review, Document, and Test COSO requirements and ensure in place for European Profit Centers
- Liaison to the External Auditors of the Company
- Perform other duties as assigned by Head of European Reporting
- Aid in the annual budget preparation and budget monitoring
