Description
Manage, direct and provide oversight for the organization's global trade activities on a worldwide basis to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Manage CSRD, ESG, CDP & other global compliance projects
• Developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure business units are in compliance with all applicable international, federal, state and local laws, regulations, and standards related to global trade.
• Championing the continuous improvement process for global trade policies and procedures by ensuring appropriate metrics are formulated, tracked and evaluated.
• Providing technical expertise and leadership for global trade compliance on a worldwide basis.
• Providing expertise in global customs regulation frameworks such as harmonized tariff schedules, customs valuations, customs assists, and duty drawbacks.
• Guiding a cross functional team (including product development, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, finance and legal) to determine and/or validate product value, country of origin, tariff exemption eligibility, harmonized tariff code classifications, and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN) for import and export transactions.
• Conducting regular trade compliance reviews and internal audits across business units to ensure trade compliance effectiveness and to identify areas of weakness for improvement.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining training programs for employees involved in global trade activities.
• Ensuring compliance with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, International Business, or a related field preferred
• 10+ years' experience in U.S. export/import regulations and global trade compliance.
• Working knowledge of U.S. export control regulations to include Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
• Expert knowledge of harmonized tariff schedules, ECCN's, export licensing, customs valuations, duty drawbacks, customs assists, and USMCA.
• U.S. Customs Brokers license is preferred.
• Maquiladora experience is preferred
• Expertise with GTM (Integration Point) software preferred
