Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Head of Compliance Training & Communications will be responsible for strategically designing, developing, implementing and managing an ethics and compliance training and communications program that educates, engages and motivates employees to support a culture of compliance across all B. Braun of America companies. The ideal candidate will understand how to create, build and roll-out progressive educational courses and internal communications that generate positive employee learning experiences and build progressively deeper employee understanding of how compliance fits into the mission, values and culture of B. Braun.

This role with work closely with the Chief Ethic & Compliance Officer, members of the Ethics & Compliance department, the Ethics & Compliance Committee, and cross-functional leaders in Human Resources, Marketing & Communications, Corporate Communications, Medical Affairs, Quality, Legal, and Information Security.

The person in this position will have a unique opportunity to shape the culture of B. Braun by training and communicating to employees across all B. Braun of America companies in support of the broader goals of B. Braun and the Ethics & Compliance program.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Design, develop, implement and manage a comprehensive Ethics & Compliance training and communications strategy that aligns with the overall Ethics & Compliance program and engages employees at all levels to support a culture of compliance.
  • Design and deliver creative, engaging and impactful training materials and programs, utilizing a variety of formats webinars, workshops, and in-person courses.
  • Improve, maintain and update Ethics & Compliance internal communications channels to optimize employee accessibility and engagement with Ethics & Compliance resources including policies, procedures, FAQs, and other guidance documents.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to assess Ethics & Compliance training needs and customize programs to address specific risks, roles, and business activities.
  • Measure and monitor employee retention, understanding and experience with Ethics & Compliance trainings and communications, refining methods and content as necessary to improve overall effectiveness.
  • Ensure training and communications are timely, current, and relevant to employees across the organization based on changes to Ethics & Compliance program guidelines and applicable laws, regulations and trends.
  • Develop and track training and communications metrics and prepare reports showing the performance and impact of training and communications activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure Ethics and Compliance training and communications are delivered effectively and opportunistically across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience developing and delivering training and communications within a complex, highly regulated organization, preferably in Ethics & Compliance within the U.S. healthcare and life sciences industry.
  • Creative mind with an aptitude for developing memorable communications and training content that resonates with and motivates employees.
  • Proven experience designing a well-timed training and communications strategy.
  • Experience developing multi-level training course curricula and delivering role-based training using learning platforms and less formal delivery methods.
  • Highly motivated to continue learning, growing and innovating as a compliance professional and expert.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team environment while working independently to achieve program goals in close coordination with others.
Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
  • Requires full working knowledge of relevant business practices and procedures in professional field. Uses standard theories, principles and concepts and integrates them to propose a course of action.
  • Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving all day-to-day problems.
  • Interacts with internal and/or external clients and customers to negotiate and interpret information on projects and unit operations. May consult with senior management.

Target Based Range

$136,000 - $185,000

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10-12 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
