Grosvenor Hart Homes is a new social enterprise on a mission to improve the life chances of children, young people and their families and we are looking for a Head of Governance and Compliance to join us based out of our Chester or London offices as we expand our multi-disciplinary team. Grosvenor Hart Homes became a registered provider of social housing in June 2024. This is a new role.
Addressing three critical foundations, we provide high-quality affordable homes simultaneously paired with employment and wellbeing support programmes, tailored around the needs of individuals, and designed to empower them to overcome barriers, fulfil their potential and achieve better life outcomes.

You will be somebody with the ability to directly provide high quality company secretariat, governance and compliance services, ensuring Grosvenor Hart Homes' (GHH) governance is efficient and effective and fully meets its regulated requirements. The role holder will directly support all Board and committee meetings and provide and coordinate all advice on governance, legal and regulatory matters.

Key role responsibilities of the Head of Governance and Compliance include:
- Primary responsibility for GHH governance and regulatory compliance, with the objective of ensuring that GHH meets the highest standards in governance, probity and ensuring full compliance with all requirements
- Be the key contact with the Regulator of Social Housing, as well as any other relevant regulatory organisations
- Oversee all arrangements for Board meetings and Committee meetings including annual governance and regulatory reviews, taking high quality minutes
- Develop and oversee appropriate controls and procedures in place, to provide relevant levels of assurance to Board
- An established Company Secretary and/or relevant degree level qualification and experience
- Excellent working knowledge of the RSH Regulatory Framework and lead on regulatory returns
- Experience in the social housing sector
- Excellent relationship building and people management skills, including experience and effective working with Boards of Management and Committees
