Job description
The opportunity
An opportunity to use your knowledge of UKVI immigration regulations and UK Higher Education experience to play a key role in the operational management of immigration compliance procedures within the Academic Enterprise (AE) department, and UAL Short Courses Ltd (UALSC) at University of the Arts London (UAL).
In this role you will provide operational leadership and oversee student related UKVI compliance activities across AE and UALSC in line with policy, regulations and procedures set by UAL, assessing how changes to the UKVI policies might impact on current and future AE and UALSC activities.
You will lead on the continual evaluation and improvement of immigration compliance procedures and act as a leading point of contact on all aspects of immigration compliance related to student admissions, enrolments, and post enrolment activities across AE and UALSC.
You will also manage the team of Immigration Compliance Administrators as well as any other temporary staff employed during busy times and will be responsible for their ongoing training and development.
About you
You will need significant knowledge of UKVI immigration regulations related to the Points Based System, as well as strong administrative experience within UK Higher Education, and experience of developing robust data and compliance processes.
You will also be experienced in analysing and applying complex regulatory guidance with good working knowledge and experience of using the UKVI Sponsorship Management System (SMS).
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, conveying complex regulatory information to a variety of stakeholders, is equally important.
