SUMMARY
The Internal Audit Manager will play a critical role in planning, executing, and reporting on internal audits across Pratt Industries, Inc. This position focuses on adding value by evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of auditing principles, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for the following activities:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, procedures, financial statements, technical
literature, and contracts.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Computer literate (MS Office including Word and Excel as well as accounting software)
Proficient knowledge and application of accounting principles and accounting/operational
processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for the following activities:
- Enterprise risk assessment
- Developing audit programs and procedures to ensure comprehensive audit coverage
- Supervise and mentor internal audit staff
- Build trust with business owners and stakeholders
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Identify material control weaknesses or breakdowns and provide improvement
recommendations - Document audit findings and recommendations in clear and concise audit reports
- Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to management
- Communicate effectively with auditees and stakeholders at all levels
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of external or internal audit experience, preferably within a
manufacturing environment - Strong understanding of GAAP, COSO framework, and auditing standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CPA, CIA, or other relevant professional certification is preferred
- Experience working in or with privately-held companies preferred
- Ability to travel
