Our Internal Audit team within the Commodities and Global Markets and Operations Portfolio focuses on providing independent assessment and assurance over the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The team works closely with various business units to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. By conducting thorough audits and collaborating with stakeholders, the team plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and stability of our operations. While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our advertised location.

What role will you play?

Join our Risk Management Group as an Internal Audit Manager within the Commodities and Global Markets and Operations Portfolio team. You will develop and maintain a detailed understanding of our Commodities and Global Markets business, associated products, and supporting control functions, particularly the Market Operations departments. You will work in small to medium sized internal audit project teams, both regional and global, to help define audit scopes and execute testing. Additionally, you will assist in drafting internal audit findings for discussion with audit senior management and ensure adequate remediation of open internal audit issues and actions. Collaborating with stakeholders to continuously monitor risks and partnering with the broader Risk Management Group to contribute to the continual improvement of the risk management framework will be important functions of your role.

What you offer

  • 5+ years' relevant experience in internal or external audit, or risk management
  • Experience in a global markets/commodities risk management role and knowledge of the control standards and key regulations
  • Strong teamwork and relationship management skills
  • Attention to detail and investigative nature
  • Ability to work in regional and global audit project teams
  • Ability to communicate complex items with a range of stakeholders, effectively convey messages while maintaining strong relationships
  • Willingness to travel as required
