The Role

We are seeking an IT Systems and Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day IT operations alongside our IT support team, as well as implementing and maintaining compliance standards within our IT infrastructure, with a focus on NIST 800-171 within Azure environments. The ideal candidate will be a versatile IT professional capable of handling a broad range of tasks from technical support to compliance initiatives.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive IT support, including setting up workstations for new staff, managing onboarding/offboarding processes, and resolving day-to-day technical issues.
  • Administer and maintain IT systems, including Windows and Linux environments, both physical and virtual, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external IT service provider to implement and maintain compliance with NIST 800-171 standards, particularly within Azure cloud services.
  • Develop, document, and manage IT policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Participate with our IT support team in the design and optimization of network infrastructure, ensuring secure and compliant architecture.
  • Manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to decommissioning, in line with compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of disaster recovery plans and cybersecurity policies, aligning with compliance standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support roles with a strong understanding of IT operations and system administration.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards, specifically NIST 800-171; willingness to undergo further training in this area.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and Microsoft IT environments (Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.).
