Purpose of job
  • To effectively provide support to the Head of Accreditations in ensuring that the firm's compliance and regulatory regime meets current requirements, conditions and client expectations.
  • To support the firm's accreditations in Lexcel and CQS.
  • To effectively provide support to the HOA to ensure the firm's compliance with the (CMS) Combined Management System for ISOs.
  • To help ensure that Birketts' professional service, networks, infrastructure and services remain secure, working with development, technical, operations and other internal teams to ensure that Birketts' data and offerings are secure by design.
  • To support the Data Protection Officer in Birketts LLP's compliance with all DPA 2018 & GDPR Legislation.
Accountabilities
  • To collate information security audit outcomes and reviews.
  • Scheduling future audits/reviews with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation of a information security awareness and training programme. Collating training results and outstanding training.
  • To assist with investigations into suspected and actual security incidents in accordance with the security incident management standard, produce reports with recommendations and ensure any remedial action is taken.
  • Assist with collation of information for the Senior Management Team, Information Asset Owners (IAOs) and the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) as required.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop relationships to help promote and improve information security and provide security advice on procurements, projects and new initiatives as required.
  • Work with external stakeholders, internal auditors and our Accreditor as required.
  • Support the HOA with the annual certification processes.
  • Undergo weekly review of internal monitoring system reports.
  • Collate and enter new supplier details onto the register and follow up renewals when required.
  • Enter new employees onto the firms CQS register and issue required training.
  • Assisting with the firm's business continuity management system and scheduling BC exercises/tests as required.
Qualifications/Experience
Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).

Advantageous experience would include:
  • Experience of ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 22301 and/or ISO9001 management framework.
  • Prior experience of managing GDPR and data security methodologies.

  • Excellent communication skills, including experience of influencing outcomes, with interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of seniority and liaise effectively with other internal departments and external contacts.
