Position Overview:

As Insulet continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and motivated Ethics & Compliance Manager to support the Director, Compliance Officer, with the design and implementation of the Ethics and Compliance Programme across the EMEA region. The Ethics & Compliance Manager, EMEA, will drive integrity and ethical business conduct and take a leading role in, among other things, the development of new/revision of existing compliance policies, procedures and tools, and updating and maintaining an employee training framework on Ethics and Compliance. This role will work in a cross-functional capacity to continue operationalizing the Ethics and Compliance Programme.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, monitor and update general policies and procedures and other tools related to Ethics and Compliance and company interactions with Healthcare Professionals.
  • Design and execution of a new training framework in Ethics and Compliance for all employees, with a focus on bringing in new training modules and learning methods.
  • Manage the Distributor Risk Monitoring Programme.
  • Ensure existing Legal & Compliance processes are relevant, current and applicable, updating and creating as necessary.
  • Monitor business activities involving Healthcare Professionals and employees.
  • Proactively identify areas of potential vulnerability and Ethics and Compliance risk; develop and implement action plans to prevent, detect and/or mitigate Ethics and Compliance issues and provide general advice to avoid similar situations in the future.
  • Perform evaluations of the Ethics & Compliance Programme's effectiveness presenting effectiveness with supportive analytics.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify emerging risk areas within the organization and seek opportunities for process improvement.
  • Perform other duties as required to continue to grow Insulet's Ethics and Compliance Programme.
Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and demonstrated experience in Compliance or Legal roles focused on Life Sciences industry;
  • Direct experience designing, implementing, and overseeing Ethics and Compliance Programmes;
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to global Life Sciences companies, including, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and industry codes - such as MedTech Europe's Code of Ethical Business Practice, EFPIA Code or local versions thereof - regulating interactions with Healthcare Professionals;
  • Strong commitment to ethics and integrity in all aspects of work; ability to drive a proactive ethical culture in which compliance and business objectives are mutually reinforcing;
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally; must be able to work and lead collaboratively in a team environment with a wide variety of company personnel on a broad range of matters, including Compliance, Legal, Finance, and business colleagues at various levels within the organization;
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, refined communication skills (verbal and written) with fluency in written and spoken English required;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently and manage discrete areas of responsibility, and to flourish in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated knowledge on the use of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience using data analytics to support core compliance program activities including measuring the effectiveness of compliance trainings/programmes;
  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of Ethics & Compliance programmes;
  • Hands on experience supporting a Learning Management System;
  • Fluency in French and/or German is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • This is a UK-based position, which can be hybrid or fully in-person at Insulet's London (Hammersmith) Office. There is an expectation on the candidate that at least 1 day of the working week will be spent at Insulet's London Office.
  • Travel is expected from time to time to Insulet offices across Europe/Middle East and other locations.
