We are currently looking for an Operational Risk Manager to work with one of our financial services clients in London.
The role will be part of the 1st Line Operational Risk team, working with all functions as a "Risk Partner". You will be there to offer guidance and support, helping to comply with frameworks, standards etc, undertaking Risk Management.
Applicants will have knowledge of key risk management principles supported by relevant experience, understanding of the three lines of defence operating model and be able to develop relationships with peers and senior stakeholders.
Recent relevant experience in financial services is mandatory. The role is hybrid working with 2 days per week in the London office. Contract will be inside IR35.

Responsibilities and Requirements
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- Help business functions to manage risks to support the achievement of business objectives.
- Embedding a risk management framework and culture to improve risk identification, management, treatment and reporting.
- Work with the business to enhance decision making whilst reducing operational risk and improving overall service resiliency.
- Work closely with Risk owners, control owners and 2lod team.
- Risk assessment, ownership of treatment and risk reduction.
- Training & awareness campaigns to embed a culture of risk management
- Maintenance & reporting of risk registers
- Risk deep dive activities, proactively manage risk to the organization.
- Governance arrangements that ensure risk practices are being followed
- Promote a robust, developing risk culture
- Evaluate risk exposures, identification, assessment and monitoring of the inherent and residual risks and top risks
- Provide risk briefings to colleagues when required
- Perform Risk and Control Self-Assessments
- Partner with the Lines of Business to identify, track, escalate and resolve issues in a timely manner.
