Purpose of the Job
CBRE manages the maintenance UK Data Centre and is committed to the provision of an efficient and effective critical engineering maintenance service.
- The primary function is to ensure 100% uptime of engineering services to ensure there is zero impact to the client's business operations.
- To ensure satisfactory delivery of services against contractual terms and conditions, meeting and exceeding client expectations and ensuring the contractual commitments of CBRE are achieved.
- To ensure all maintenance work is called out in accordance with client and company policies and procedures and within health and safety legislative requirements.
- The site is certified to the Uptime Institute M&O accreditation and to BS55001 - Asset Management, which are embedded within the standard of service delivery.
- Understand the maintenance or extra works to be carried out and identify the potential impact to health and safety and critical plant operation through the generation of Critical Environment Work Authorisation (CEWA).
- Identify and utilise mitigating measures to address the potential impact, through the implementation of safe systems of work and operational procedures (SOP and EOP).
- Develop the engineering team though coaching and mentoring on critical maintenance and operations as defined within CERM methodologies.
- Carry out FMR and asset condition reviews for engineering plant.
- Effectively implement and comply with the customers RNOW change approval system.
- Actively manage and where required, supervise engineering risks through applying CERM methodologies.
- Oversee the site engineering team in the proficient use and application of CERM.
- Establish and develop trusting, meaningful relationships with the CBRE site engineering team, TET team, DCS and other client staff.
- Lead cultural change on a daily basis, through being an effective role model for safe working practices, compliance, quality standards and best practice methods.
- Volunteer ideas/initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and improved service levels.
- Positive contribution to the "team" effort, with a "can do" attitude and raising of standards.
- Undertake other tasks, as required by the Contract Manager, in accordance with experience and competencies.

- Experience of CEWA , SOP, EOP and safety documentation.
- Knowledge of CERM methodologies.
- Time served Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship.
- HV switching qualification/experience.
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
- NEEBOSH Certification
- Adept in Microsoft Office applications.
