Your responsibilities will centre on investigating and managing cases of non-compliance with planning permissions, using your judgement, research skills, and ability to negotiate effective solutions.

- Investigating reports of potential planning breaches
- Conducting thorough site inspections and desk-based research
- Engaging with stakeholders to resolve issues informally where possible
- Recommending and preparing formal enforcement actions when required
- Collaborating with internal teams, statutory bodies, and the public
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone with:
- A solid understanding of Town and Country Planning legislation, policy, and guidance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Experience in investigating complaints or enforcement issues (preferably planning-related)
- A proactive, independent approach with the ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines
- Confident IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office and digital planning tools
