We are looking to recruit:

We are seeking to recruit a Premises & Compliance Officer to support a well-established, high quality, operational service across our eight academies in the Kirklees district.

Reporting to (and supporting the work of) the Premises & Compliance Manager, the postholder will co-ordinate and advise on all aspects of Health & Safety and Risk Management, ensuring current legislation is adhered to, maintaining our high standards. This is a great opportunity to work with caretaking teams across the trust, assisting with building projects and the supervision of staff and external contractors.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be educated to GCSE Grade 4 Maths and English;
  • be a strong communicator with a solutions-based approach to problem solving;
  • have experience of working within facilities; estates and infrastructure;
  • understand and have robust knowledge and experience of risk management, health and safety and compliance;
  • have strong organisational skills, priorities own workload; and ability to work to deadlines and under pressure;
  • have a good knowledge and use of IT systems;
  • have a driving licence with access to a motor vehicle to use for business purposes;
  • have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
