The Product Stewardship Compliance Specialist Americas is responsible for providing regulatory expertise and guidance for Syensqo's Technology Solutions business product lines and other business units in North America. The person will be responsible for regulatory compliance and product stewardship support in the Americas region, including TSCA and Canadian regulatory compliance. This position will report directly to the Product Stewardship Compliance Manager, Americas.
The Consumer and Resources Cluster's Product Stewardship teams belong to the Syensqo Industrial function and interact closely with multiple functions providing regulatory expertise and guidance to the businesses and R&I.

The Product Stewardship Compliance Specialist Americas is responsible for providing regulatory expertise and guidance for Syensqo's Technology Solutions business product lines and other business units in North America. The person will be responsible for regulatory compliance and product stewardship support in the Americas region, including TSCA and Canadian regulatory compliance. This position will report directly to the Product Stewardship Compliance Manager, Americas.
The Consumer and Resources Cluster's Product Stewardship teams belong to the Syensqo Industrial function and interact closely with multiple functions providing regulatory expertise and guidance to the businesses and R&I.

- Work with defined business areas, regulatory agencies, and consultants to ensure product specific regulatory compliance (Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Food Contact etc.)
- Provides product stewardship support and guidance, informs business and technical contacts and works with specific business groups to develop alternate business strategies, where necessary.
- Assesses changes and their impact to the business based on an advanced understanding of regulatory guidelines and applicable federal laws
- Responds to customer issues, questions and concerns. Respond to internal and external requests for product safety and regulatory information on company products
- Performs product stewardship review and approval for the import and export of sample and commercial materials for the Consumer and Resources businesses
- Performs reviews and classification of Consumer and Resources Cluster products for export and trade control regulations.
- Conducts assessments and ensures proper implementation of the product safety/product stewardship management system, programs, and practices.
- Develops and maintains broad technical expertise in TSCA and other chemical regulations
- Professional experience in a dynamic, multicultural global team, working closely with many functions in an innovation driven, sustainable chemistry focused company.
- Experience in a Product Stewardship team with the possibility to have a better understanding of regulations, tools, etc. across a wide range of regulations, and chemistries.

- Bachelor in Chemistry, Life Science or Engineering area. Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the chemical industry, with 1-3 of those years in regulatory affairs preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Toxics Substances Control Act (TSCA) with proven ability to successfully apply to work output
- Experience in SAP EH&S is a plus
- Strong organizational skills - effectively prioritizes competing tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Highly motivated, results driven with unyielding predisposition to detail, accuracy and clarity
- Strong critical and logical thinker with ability to analyze problems and recommend solutions
- Exercises sound judgment. Demonstrates an advanced ability to make appropriate decisions on regulatory activities and work outputs
- Performs duties with the highest ethical standards, delivering only high-quality, compliant submissions to EPA
- Strong collaborative behavior, with good communication skills.

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $95,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
