Although this is a home based role covering the North West - M6 corridor you are required to travel around the region to support the service within this region. Care sector knowledge is required for this role.

About the role

The Quality and Compliance Specialist is an exciting role, working within a changing environment as the critical eye for the business. The Quality & Compliance Specialist will have a very manageable portfolio of 12 services of varying size, to visit and carry out a full audit as part of an annual plan. Each service will have an audit every 4 months regardless of internal or external rating. The Quality & Compliance Specialist will complete a report and update the service improvement plan, which are then owned by the service managers. They will be involved with the induction of new Service Managers, they will carry out coaching and mentoring of service managers to support them to prepare for regulatory inspections. The role will involve working closely with people who use our services and involving them with audits outside their service, training and developing the role of Quality Checker, to ensure it is a valuable role for both the person and the process.

About you

You must have a minimum of three years proven experience in a quality and compliance role within the care sector. You must be able to travel and stay away overnight regularly. You must be knowledgeable about current regulations. Working to Leonard Cheshire values, have a passion for ensuring the inclusion of people using our services.
