Our client is a premium British manufacturer supplying high-quality architectural hardware to prestigious residential, commercial, and hospitality projects worldwide. Known for their exceptional craftsmanship and design-led approach, they are seeking a skilled and proactive Quality & Compliance Manager to join their growing team and lead their quality and regulatory initiatives.

The Role

This is a hands-on, business-critical position with responsibility for ensuring that all products meet applicable regulatory and quality standards. Working across departments, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of robust processes and procedures to uphold and enhance product performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure product compliance with British Standards (BS), European Norms (EN), UKCA and CE Marking, and the Construction Products Regulation (CPR)
  • Maintain technical documentation including Declarations of Performance (DoPs)
  • Coordinate with external testing bodies and certification organisations
  • Manage and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Lead internal audits, non-conformance investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support product development and testing to ensure safety, durability, and compliance
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes (e.g. REACH, WEEE, RoHS) and advise accordingly
  • Foster a strong culture of quality across all business functions
Requirements

Candidate Profile
  • Experience in a quality or compliance role within a manufacturing environment (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and associated quality management standards
  • Familiarity with certification and regulatory frameworks relevant to construction or architectural products
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain quality systems and drive process improvement
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • A practical and detail-focused individual who can work effectively across teams
