Summary:

The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Regulatory Compliance Testing program. The Regulatory Compliance Manager, at the direction of the VP, Regulatory Change Management, will lead in the creation of compliance monitoring reports and loan level testing to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and investor/agency rules and regulations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of the Company's compliance monitoring and testing activities.
  • Ensures monitoring and testing activities are completed accurately and timely based on pre-defined schedules
  • Keeps abreast of relevant consumer protection laws, regulations and supervisory guidance, as applicable.
  • Re-evaluates the inventory of compliance monitoring and testing activities for updates, enhancements, and/or construction.
  • Prepares and communicates compliance reports/summaries including concerns, trends, and recommendations based on the results of compliance monitoring and testing activities.
  • Reviews translated borrower communications including letter correspondence, scripts, and/or documents.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert within the Regulatory Compliance team.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to remediate any concerns, trends, or recommendations identified in compliance monitoring and testing activities.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is an individual contributor with no direct reports but may provide guidance, leadership, or training to others.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Proficiency in consumer protection laws and regulations governing mortgage servicing
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Highly prefer the incumbent to be fluent in the Spanish language and experienced in translating consumer communications from English to Spanish.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University and Two (2) to Four (4) years of training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University and minimum of Five (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Experience as a compliance auditor, senior compliance auditor/consultant, or testing experience
  • Experience with Sagent and/or LoanServ

Problems and issues faced are difficult and complex, and may require understanding of broader set of issues. Problems typically involve consideration of multiple issues and understanding of the financial/mortgage industry. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.
