Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:

As the Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring our services meet all regulatory requirements and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Compliance Oversight: Support the Nominated Individual and Registered Managers in all aspects of regulatory compliance, registration, and inspection processes.
  • Quality Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives by analysing quality data and trends, and implementing effective systems and practices.
  • Expert Guidance: Provide expert advice to operational teams, ensuring adherence to the Health and Social Care Act and associated regulations.
  • Risk Management: Actively track and report on quality data, ensuring that lessons learned from inspections and audits are implemented promptly.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with regulators, commissioners, and other external stakeholders to promote best practices and enhance our charity's reputation.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • Qualifications: Professional qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., qualified Nurse, Social Worker) and Level 5 QCF Diploma in Adult Care (leadership and management).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a health and social care setting, preferably in a Quality/Compliance role.
  • Knowledge:
    • Extensive knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and associated regulations.
    • Proven experience with CQC, CI, and SSSC frameworks.
    • Strong understanding of risk management and quality assurance systems.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
    • High-level communication skills (written and oral) for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
    • Experience in conducting audits and compliance inspections.
  • Competencies:
    • Ability to develop and implement quality improvement plans.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Experience in training and supporting teams to enhance compliance knowledge.
