This key role supports the Regulatory Compliance Department with daily upkeep and management of all things related to DTC licensing and registrations and a focus on assisting with a wide range of responsibilities related to regulatory compliance. This role is the go-to resource for all things related to Bottle to Market - DTC for the company. Duties include, but are not limited to, DTC annual renewals, DTC product registration, collaborating with various departments, assisting with organization of release dates, helping with end of month reporting, and assisting internal teams with questions regarding samples, shipping policies, import questions, troubleshooting compliance errors in ShipCompliant and maintaining digital records. This position must demonstrate integrity above reproach, with the ability to think creatively, strategically, and critically to present and implement optimal solutions while being highly detail oriented and organized.
What we will ask you to do:

What we will ask you to do:
- Works with Regulatory Compliance team to maintain Compliance Release Schedule (CRS).
- Oversees all DTC Licensing: new licensing, updates to licenses (including officer updates) as well as annual renewals.
- Completes DTC brand and product registration maintenance in alignment with company policy and earliest release dates with the ability to be flexible should certain timelines need to be changed.
- Plans, organizes and executes all annual renewals for all DTC products registrations in all states.
- Works with Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Director, Regulatory Compliance on becoming main point person for all samples related questions.
- Advises and trains all applicable Duckhorn personnel on DTC related shipping questions as it relates to Regulatory Compliance.
- Maintains ShipCompliant maintenance including creating new products, posting state label approvals, uploading current shipping licenses, updating expiration dates, etc.
- Assists DTC team with daily trouble shooting for compliance errors in ShipCompliant.
- Learns our import processes, follows company policies, and looks for ways to expand them or add efficiencies while gaining deep understanding and creating documentation on research.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of compliance issues and remains current on trends and developments in the wine and alcoholic beverage regulation field.
- 2-4 years compliance experience required; wine compliance experience preferred.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to be a representative and exhibiting the values of Duckhorn Wine Company to all state agencies.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good work ethic, reliability and responsiveness.
- Ability to learn and communicate state specific regulations to other departments.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
- Positive attitude and demonstrated customer service skillset.
- DTC/Wholesale wine background or Customer Service background a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Drive to learn and grow knowledge of Regulatory Compliance.
- Public notary a plus.
