This key role supports the Regulatory Compliance Department with daily upkeep and management of all things related to wholesale licensing and registrations and a focus on assisting with a wide range of responsibilities related to regulatory compliance. This role is the go-to resource for all things related to Bottle to Market - Wholesale for the company. Duties include, but are not limited to, wholesale annual renewals, wholesale product registrations, collaborating with various departments, assisting with organization of release dates, price posting, solicitor licensing, distributor updates/changes, export documentation, and maintaining all related digital records. This role must demonstrate integrity above reproach, with the ability to think creatively, strategically, and critically to present and implement optimal solutions while being highly detail oriented and organized.
What we will ask you to do:
This key role supports the Regulatory Compliance Department with daily upkeep and management of all things related to wholesale licensing and registrations and a focus on assisting with a wide range of responsibilities related to regulatory compliance. Duties include, but are not limited to, wholesale annual renewals, wholesale product registrations, collaborating with various departments, assisting with organization of release dates, price posting, solicitor licensing, distributor updates/changes, export documentation, and maintaining all related digital records. What we will ask you to do:
- Works with Regulatory Compliance team to maintain Compliance Release Schedule (CRS).
- Oversees all wholesale licensing: new licensing, updates to licenses (including officer updates) as well as annual renewals.
- Oversees all wholesale brand appointments and product registration maintenance in alignment with company policy and earliest release dates with the ability to be flexible should certain timelines need to be changed.
- Plans, organizes and executes all annual renewals for all brands/ wholesale product registrations in all states.
- Manages solicitor licensing (new & renewals) with a high level of confidentiality and awareness of the sensitive information being provided to the Regulatory Compliance Team ensuring excellent customer service to all salespeople throughout the license application/renewal process.
- Advises and trains all applicable Duckhorn personnel on wholesale related questions as it relates to Regulatory Compliance.
- Works with Director, Regulatory Compliance, Wholesale Customer Service Team and Quality Control to facilitates export documentation for all export orders including paperwork, signatures, and notary public needs.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of compliance issues and remains current on trends and developments in the wine and alcoholic beverage regulation field.
- 2-4 years compliance experience required; wine compliance experience preferred.
- Superb attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to be a representative and exhibiting the values of Duckhorn Wine Company to all state agencies.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Good work ethic, reliability and responsiveness.
- Ability to learn and communicate state specific regulations to other departments.
- Ability to think critically and problem solve.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
- Positive attitude and demonstrated customer service skillset.
- DTC/Wholesale wine background or Customer Service background a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Drive to learn and grow knowledge of Regulatory Compliance.
- Public notary a plus.
