As we are constantly growing, we are looking for a Risk and AML Compliance Specialist with the purpose of supporting in ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and internal processes as well as local jurisdictional laws and regulations and will also support the local quality framework and AML processes in administrative tasks. The role holder will directly report to the Head of Quality, Risk Management and Compliance.
What will you do:
1. AML related tasks (80%)
As we are constantly growing, we are looking for a Risk and AML Compliance Specialist with the purpose of supporting in ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and internal processes as well as local jurisdictional laws and regulations and will also support the local quality framework and AML processes in administrative tasks. The role holder will directly report to the Head of Quality, Risk Management and Compliance.
What will you do:
1. AML related tasks (80%)
- Conduct thorough AML due diligence actions on different companies, stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
- Ensure comprehensive AML risk analysis and documentation of relevant information.
- Collaborate on a daily basis with key stakeholders across the firm to achieve overall AML due diligence objectives.
- Performing clients and suppliers' AML due diligence risk assessment, continuously monitoring them to ensure that data complies with KYC and AML requirements and advising the management.
- Collecting, reviewing, and verifying documents and information from the AML perspective to support the KYC/CDD process
- Monitors the appropriate classification of the clients and suppliers according to the AML risk levels.
- Assists the Head of Department in drawing up reports of suspicious transactions, if necessary
- Updates the rules/procedures regarding the risk of money laundering and financing of terrorism.
- Assist in ensuring that the company complies with applicable AML laws and regulations.
- Carrying out supplier AML evaluation checks to assess their performance in terms of quality and compliance.
- Assists the Head of Department in developing and implementing the firm's quality risk management policies, processes, and procedures.
- Carry out the test of design and operating effectiveness for internal controls, ensuring all work is fully detailed in line with the Forvis Mazars methodology and testing process on International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM 1) and Non-Assurance SL quality framework
- Support in developing and maintaining the internal control framework that ensures the effort is efficient and effective for the area of responsibility.
- Review the responses received at a local level on internal controls, to ensure recommendations are implemented and all action items are resolved.
- Report on risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified and provide recommendations for improving the control framework.
- Conduct compliance reviews to identify gaps within the firm's policies and processes and actively monitor the implementation of effective action plans.
- University degree in economic and/or legal academic background preferably
- At least 2-3 years directly related experience in a compliance, risk management or legal fields with a basic knowledge of relevant rules and regulations and the day-to-day compliance affairs.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of anti-financial crime frameworks (AML/CTF and Sanctions policies) and regulatory recommendations, risk management good-practice, procedures, and control arrangements in a complex financial organization.
- Cross functional collaboration: work closely and build a positive relationship with multiple internal collaborators across the organization.
- Critical problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly.
- Attention to details and the ability to comprehend information thoroughly and understand its significance.
