Roles & Responsibilities
  • Take the lead on developing and delivering the second line assurance plan
  • Maintain and develop a robust and effective second line assurance framework
  • Design and deliver reports and MI for the relevant committees and senior management.
  • Design and undertake reviews on a thematic and functional basis to ensure effective application of policies, procedures, and internal controls, as well as adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Periodic testing of Starr's key risk controls
  • Deep dive reviews into Starr's top organisational risks. Ensure recommendations/actions are reported and completed in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the success of the Risk and Compliance teams more widely e.g. horizon scanning, day-to-day guidance and delivering training
  • Support the company in maintaining compliance with industry and governmental lead regulations.
  • Contribute to the regular Risk and Compliance reports to governing bodies, providing summary updates of control testing, monitoring reviews, and business performance against company procedures.
  • To draft, review and keep up to date internal regulatory protocols, policies and procedural manuals.
  • Support team with sanction screening and sanction related queries
  • Assist in registrations of licensing and tax
  • Support with maintaining TOBA process.
Experience
  • Relevant second line experience
  • Awareness of Lloyd's and London Market practices (and related International Lloyd's standards);
  • Strong awareness of Lloyd's Principles, the FCA and the PRA.
