JOB DESCRIPTION

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

Managers are responsible for serving clients and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Managers develop lasting relationships with client personnel and seek to further these relationships through quality product delivery. The manager is responsible for understanding their client's business and demonstrating technical competence in their product group and industry. Managers develop contacts with the business community and serve as ambassadors of Protiviti in the market.

What will you be doing?
  • Lead the delivery, people and management of client engagements within the risk and compliance solution
  • Manage the successful delivery of larger client projects end-to-end, to time, quality, and budget, effectively delegate tasks to team members and take ownership of the delivery and quality of team members' work whilst leading client relationships.
  • Create development opportunities for all team members through meaningful assignments.
  • Develop a high-performing, diverse team that delivers exceptional client service and value.
  • Develop a repeatable innovation process that drives creative ideas within project teams.
  • Assist with the development of Protiviti thought leadership white papers, frequently asked questions (FAQs) and marketing materials.
  • Develop new relationships and work with the Managing Director/Directors to enhance and run existing client relationships to maximise Protiviti's coverage.
  • Develop, with the company's support, existing or new areas of relevant specialism and expertise to differentiate yourself in the market.
  • Take a leading role in the development of engagement opportunities by managing our work to propose and bid for work.
  • Promote Protiviti's services in the UK marketplace to expand coverage.
  • Liaise with other offices globally to leverage off current contacts to provide a considered and consistent approach to the market and to liaise on sharing resources.
Essential Skills and Experience that you might have?

  • We do not expect anyone to have experience across all of these risk and compliance areas in totality, but we are looking for individuals with experience of delivering regulatory projects; including but not limited to any of the following areas: operational risk & resilience, risk & controls transformation, process mining, lender due diligence, consumer duty & conduct risk, governance design & review, compliance monitoring testing, anti-financial crime, skilled person review and reports (S166)
  • Lead regulatory impact assessments and gap analysis.
  • Design and support compliance functions (e.g., Compliance Assurance & effectiveness)
  • Design, implement and support risk & compliance frameworks, as well as remediation programmes.
  • Policy and procedure assessment, development, and/or implementation.
  • Undertake independent audit and impact assessments of risk and compliance functions.
  • Skilled person review and reports (s166)
  • Risk and control automation, development, and implementation.
  • Regulatory mapping to business products, controls, and risks.
  • Regulatory examination support e.g., independent assurance reports, interview preparation, programme management, response drafting.
  • Past business and suitability reviews.
  • Design and review governance arrangements.
  • Strong people skills to interact in a team environment and foster client relationships.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the importance of business ethics.
  • Excellent written, listening, verbal communication and presentation skills including documentation of findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Mentorship and people development capabilities.
  • Business development proficiency/exposure and strong client relationship skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and always maintain professional demeanour.
  • Organisation and time management expertise.
Education & Professional Credentials Required
  • 5+ years in a related field, (preferably in consulting, professional services, and/or Financial Services) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline; minimum 2:2 or equivalent preferred
  • Professional certification such as ICAEW, ACAMS, CCEP or equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
RegularAs a client focused business, we adapt to the needs of our client when considering work location. We work in a hybrid culture; however, we travel throughout the UK and sometimes internationally when needed based upon client requests/commitments. Travel may include local, regional, or international locations and a need to be on site at our clients.

We are supportive where possible of helping to achieve a balance between home and work demands and would be happy to discuss individual requirements around flexible working.
