Key Responsibilities
- To provide expertise on a wide range of UK related compliance and data protection matters. Including by provision of technical advice to management, staff and the Board on compliance and data protection matters
- Support the Senior Manager - Compliance in responding proactively to all upcoming UK regulatory changes, including liaison and advice to the business (and implementation teams) on the impact of regulatory changes as required.
- Support the oversight the embedding and evidencing of IGIs compliance with existing key regulatory imperatives including but not limited to:
- SMCR: Including updates to Management Responsibilities Maps and ongoing Fitness & Proprietary assessments
- IDD, Product Governance, and the Consumer Duty
- GDPR and other Data Protection
- Conduct Rules
- Support the maintenance of the IGI UK regulatory library and communicate updates to management and relevant staff including through the provision of scheduled and ad-hoc training as required. This includes compliance training for new joiners.
- Support the KYC and TOBA process in respect of the UK operation
- Support the development of IGI UK's and Group Financial Crime Programmes, including :
- sanctions screening process, and provision of sanctions advice to the business on an ongoing basis
- controls in place in respect of anti-money laundering, anti-Bribery and Corruption
- Support input to key UK and Group management committees including the Delegated Authority Committee and Product Oversight Group. Involvement in consideration and onboarding of new coverholders, onsite / direct work with Delegated Authorities / Coverholders and development of related management information.
- Support in the preparation of compliance regulatory reports and Board reports, including FCA RMARs
- Support the Complaints Management Process in respect of UK originated business, maintain appropriate records and reporting and operate as the primary contact for IGI UK
- Deputise for the Senior Manager - Compliance as and when required.

- A university degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 2-3 years' regulatory / compliance experience in a similar or relevant role. This should be within the general insurance sector.
- Self-starter, capable of working under minimum supervision
- Adept to multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environment
- Exceptional research and analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data, decipher higher risk attributes (transactional, geographical, product, customer type, etc.) and develop well-reasoned recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skill, including dealing with internal senior management, and external parties like Auditors, brokers, etc.
- Familiarity with IGI's internal systems and processes or similar processes at other institutions
- Able to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiently, with attention to detail shown.
