What role will you play?

In this busy advisory role you will have a wide and varied focus on providing compliance support to the various private market funds across infrastructure and renewables, energy transition and private equity. You will be able to utilise your proven relationship and stakeholder management skills to advise the businesses located across EMEA and oversee Macquarie Group's compliance requirements. This is a great development opportunity as you will report to the Regional Head of Business Compliance in the UK and will collaborate with the business areas and members of the asset management business compliance team in the UK, Luxembourg and globally.

What you offer

  • 5 - 8 years compliance experience gained within the asset management industry (private markets compliance experience essential) preferably within a private equity, infrastructure, or multi-asset manager.
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK and European regulatory regimes relating to asset management, with other global compliance knowledge desirable.
  • Good understanding of EU and UK Sustainability Regulation desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid understanding of Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMD)and the Markets in Financial Instruments (MIFID) directives.
  • Commercial mindset and business acumen to take a pragmatic approach to compliance, whilst achieving the desired outcome.
  • Enjoy working in collaboration with the business in a challenging wide and varied compliance role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and extensive experience of senior stakeholder management.

About the Risk Management Group

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
