This position is to support the Director of Asset Management in driving the Council's success in meeting its statutory health and safety obligations as a responsibly landlord whilst continuously striving to improve the safety of its residents, properties, compliance, and stock condition.

As a leader of a professional team of six compliance managers delivering a technical compliance service across our residential stock that includes asbestos, fire, gas, electrical & mechanical, and water hygiene, your role is pivotal in providing senior management with assurance that the assessment and effective management of safety and compliance risks is being effectively managed and supported with quality data and evidence. This position plays a crucial role in the scheduling and delivery of planned preventative maintenance and service activities and to enable them to stand up to both internal and external scrutiny.

You will be expected to ensure and assure robust programs and plans with effective monitoring and management of your team, their officers, and their respective contractors, and that budgets are being applied efficiently and offer value for money across all areas. These programmes and plans will be based on accurate stock data and information, informed through modern compliance systems that support agile working.

Your role will require active monitoring, analysis, reporting, and improvement plans for areas at risk of becoming non-compliant, with key performance indicators tailored to deliver results for all parties. This will include ensuring that robust processes are in place to respond to remedial tasks and recommendations generated from the various programmes. You will ensure the wider business understand the importance in the quality of works, the materials used, competency of workers, quality of evidence, and that of continuous improvement.
