About Parameta Solutions

Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton-Taylor Consulting.

Role Overview

This pivotal role supports the Head of Governance & Controls in managing operational risk across the business and ensuring the effectiveness of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Operational Risk Management Framework. The successful candidate will act as a key second line of defence, providing subject matter expertise (SME), oversight, and leadership in mitigating operational risks and safeguarding the company's strategic objectives.

Role Responsibilities

Operational Risk Framework Management
  • Maintain and enhance the Group's Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Frameworks, ensuring processes and documentation meet best practices.
  • Act as a second line of defence, managing core risk processes such as incident reporting, risk and control self-assessment (RCSA), new product risk assessments, and monitoring key risk indicators (KRIs).
Risk Monitoring and Governance
  • Track and monitor operational risk against the Group's risk appetite and performance thresholds, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Prepare risk-related submissions and reporting for the Risk & Compliance Committee and regulatory bodies.
  • Support the coordination and response to risk events, including action tracking and approval of risk acceptances.
Risk Assurance and Emerging Risk Management
  • Conduct assurance activities such as thematic and deep-dive reviews to assess the control environment.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging risks, including cyber threats, ensuring the business continuity plan remains robust.
  • Participate in the Group's stress testing program as it pertains to operational risks.
Stakeholder Engagement and Training
  • Build strong relationships with internal clients and key stakeholders to promote a risk-conscious culture.
  • Deliver operational risk training and awareness programs across the organisation.
Oversight and Leadership
  • Provide SME oversight of legal, compliance, and third-party risk management functions.
  • Lead and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Technology and Systems Management
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Group's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system, ensuring alignment with risk management goals.
Experience / Competences

Essential
  • Degree or professional qualification in business, accounting, finance, risk, compliance, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of Operational Risk Management Frameworks and their application in business environments.
  • Solid knowledge of risk models and measures, with the ability to use them effectively for monitoring and decision-making.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework, including the regulations applicable to operational risk management within financial services.
  • Expertise in Information and Cyber Security, IT Risk Management, and IT Change Risk Management.
  • Demonstrated experience driving change initiatives or leading transformation efforts in an operational risk setting.
  • Familiarity with relevant products and the ability to assess and address operational risks associated with these offerings.
Desired
  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure.
  • A strong understanding of market trends and economic developments, with the ability to offer informed perspectives.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the financial services or data analytics sectors.
