Our client is a global leader in bulk shipping and transshipment, specializing in providing reliable shipping solutions. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for Compliance & Legal, you will take the lead in managing and coordinating compliance and legal projects across the company. This role involves ensuring our clients operations meet regulatory standards and contractual obligations while working closely with internal teams to integrate compliance and legal considerations into everyday business decisions. You will act as the go-to expert for compliance and legal issues, driving projects from inception to completion, managing risks, and collaborating with key stakeholders across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage compliance and legal projects, defining goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies to meet international and local regulations.
  • Mitigate legal and compliance risks, collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Review contracts with external legal experts to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  • Work across departments (Operations, Finance, Commercial, Legal) to integrate compliance and legal strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on compliance status for senior leadership.
Key Challenges in the First 90 Days:
  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and legal structures.
  • Lead the preparation of compliance documents, including due diligence and KYC processes.
  • Streamline workflows for contracts to meet legal and compliance standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Law, Business Administration, or related field. Having a Master's or additional certifications a plus.
  • 7+ years in project management, focusing on compliance and legal matters, preferably in the shipping/logistics industry.
  • Proficient in project management tools (Excel), excellent communicator, able to manage multiple projects under pressure.
Benefits

  • Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • Relocation support for non-Vienna residents.
