The Trade Compliance Officer / Senior Trade Compliance Officer will be responsible to provide trade compliance support for all aspects of the business relating to the UK, US & ROW jurisdictional and due diligence requirements.

Key responsibilities of the Trade Compliance Officer / Senior Trade Compliance Officer role and not be limited to:
- Support programmes, understanding key programme deliverables and import/export licensing requirements, assisting with the provision of guidance and advice on export and import queries so that requirements are met.
- Assist with creating processes and implementing procedures for programmes on the control of tangible and intangible import, storage, access and export of Military Controlled goods (UK, US and rest of the world) to ensure statutory compliance in line with business requirements.
- Ensure Control/Licensing Management Plans/Technology Control Plans, approved persons lists, and other access controls are produced, implemented, maintained and regularly reviewed to ensure compliance.
- Deliver individualised training on controlled goods for a variety of stakeholders on the project to ensure they are informed, and requirements are understood and met.
- Assist in providing guidance and advice on the US, UK and rest of the world regulations to a variety of stakeholders to ensure understanding of requirements and compliance.
- Co-ordinate the day-to-day import / export requirements with the shipping agents and logistics co-ordinator to ensure deliveries are compliant with relevant standards.
- Liaise with logistics and warehousing to ensure receipt of documents necessary to meet HMRC audit requirements.
- Support Corporate/Internal/External Audits and closure actions where appropriate to ensure compliance.
- Proven experience within a Trade / Export Compliance role - defence sector is preferred
- Experience in export licensing requirements
- A solid understanding of both UK & US (ITAR/EAR) export regulations
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Must be eligible to gain UK Security (SC) clearance
