CFC is a specialist insurance provider and a pioneer in emerging risk. We have a track record of disrupting inefficient insurance markets, and we use proprietary technology to deliver high-quality products to market faster than the competition while making it easier for brokers to do business. What does that mean for a Compliance function?

With the inception of CFC's Syndicate 1988 in 2021, the business now requires a Syndicate Compliance Manager to deliver the requirements specified by the turnkey managing agent.

About the role

The Syndicate Compliance Manager will be responsible for implementing and delivering policies, processes and reporting outputs aligned with the MA requirements. Other requirements of the role will include but not limited to:
  • Supporting the Compliance director to work with the MA of CFC Syndicate 1988 to ensure the Syndicate operates in accordance with FCA requirements
  • Support the relationship with the MA including preparation for CFC Syndicate 1988 and internal CFC Board and Committee meetings
  • Ensure CFC complies with all MA governance requirements, policies, procedures, training, disclosure, management information and reporting requirements
  • Support the Compliance Director in the preparation of the Compliance and Risk Report for CFC Group, and the preparation of the supporting pack.
About you

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of the FCA handbook and / or Lloyds Principles, alongside the application of principles based regulatory framework. You must have experience working in the London market either with a managing agent, insurer, broker or MGA. A candidate with experience working with delegated authorities and regulators (particularly Lloyd's focused) would be highly regarded.
