About the Role
Our client is seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist to join its Finance team. In this role, you will support the company's tax compliance and advisory functions across Ireland and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to grow their expertise in a fast-paced, multicultural environment at the intersection of global tech and telecommunications.
You will work closely with a collaborative team of four, reporting to the Finance Leader, and contribute to shaping efficient tax processes while supporting the company is expanding operations in Ireland and the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations in Ireland and other European jurisdictions.
* Analyze the tax implications of new business activities, investments, and strategies.
* Provide tax advisory support for routine operations and treasury activities, including digital service tax impact analysis.
* Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication of transactions with potential tax implications.
* Liaise with external advisors to address key projects and ensure alignment with business operations.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax Law, or a related field.
* Professional qualifications (e.g., ACA/ACCA) are desirable; CTA/ADIT or equivalent is a plus (part-qualified are also relevant).
* Some experience of tax compliance in Ireland is required.
* Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is essential.
* Fluency in Mandarin is highly preferred; knowledge of additional European languages, such as Spanish or German, is a plus.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a multicultural environment.
* Process-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
* Background in global tech, telecommunications, or Big Four firms is advantageous.
* Knowledge of Irish tax laws; familiarity with other European tax frameworks is a plus.
