Compliance Manager
Location: London
Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm
Role Purpose:
Integral UK is seeking a dedicated and proactive Compliance Manager to join our team. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment across various sites within the portfolio. The successful candidate will be from a technical background with solid industry experience to be able to support the requirements of the role. They will have strong knowledge of compliance standards, SFG20 guidelines, industry best practices and building safety requirements. The candidate be required to have excellent communication skills, and the ability to implement effective compliance management systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success and resilience across the portfolio. Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards within the building services industry.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of our facilities, equipment, and operations to identify any compliance gaps or areas for improvement.
• Support site teams in a "lead from the front" approach to closing out of compliance gaps/findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business support functions to ensure that compliance protocols are understood and followed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes, best practices, and industry trends.
• Provide guidance and hands on training to employees on compliance matters, including the proper handling of hazardous materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency response protocols, etc.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs, initiatives, and training activities, and make recommendations & implement enhancements or modifications as needed.
• Prepare and submit reports to Account Director on compliance activities, incidents, and mitigation plans.
• Develop and nurture relationships with internal/external auditors, regulators, and industry associations to stay informed of compliance requirements and ensure smooth regulatory interactions.
• Act as the point of contact for any compliance-related inquiries, investigations, or audits and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address and resolve any issues.
• Key point of contact and subject matter expert for requirements relating to Building Safety Act. Experience & Qualifications:
• Sound technical knowledge with a clear understanding of the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations, British Standards and Industry best practice (SFG20, CBM, etc).
• Experience in a similar role with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Have membership of a professional body e.g. CQI, IIRSM, IOSH, IET, etc.
• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Lead Auditor Certified.
• ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems Internal Auditor Certified.
• NEBOSH diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining compliance management systems.
• You will be an expert in the applicable legislation, have hands on experience, and you will be confident liaising with regulators, trade unions and forums.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments and decisions based on risk assessment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficient with MS applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
