What you'll need for this role
You will need experience in non-financial risk management, ideally in a fintech firm. You should have a track record of decisiveness, proactiveness and accountability for your workstreams.
You will need to be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise effectively:

Your role in the Team
As a second-line control function, the technology and operational risk team's focuses are:
- We have holistic and global oversight across all our offices and the operational, technology and info sec risk they are exposed to.
- We provide challenges to how the first line is managing their risk and look to identify anything else which we think could assist them
- We act as advisors by taking lessons from other parts of the business, other companies we have worked for or our own understanding and assessment and applying it to business areas.
- We provide a framework and a system that enable the first line to manage its risks in a standardised way.
What you'll do
- Help the first and second-line implementation team understand the operational, technology and information security frameworks and how they should be implemented best and adapted if needed. We continuously want to make improvements to everything we do.
- Interrogate our data looking for themes, oddities and quality enhancements.
- Own processes such as capital modelling or algorithm testing & validation and challenge the status quo of what we do by looking to streamline or enhance.
- Own workstreams or lead from a risk side for incoming regulation changes and business developments.
- Liaise with teams across all of IG's 19 offices and three service centres to understand their exposure to risk and help them manage it.
