Temporary, 12-month contract

Rhondda Cynon Taff wish to appoint a Catering Training and Compliance Officer to work at Valleys Innovation Centre, CF45 4SN to complement our existing team.
Catering Services are incorporated into the 21 st Century Schools & Transformation Division. This diverse catering team boasts a portfolio of many skillsets, which link together to support and co-ordinate the daily delivery of School meals & the Community Meals service, and other projects within Rhondda Cynon Taf.
The training team support the development of all catering staff, and this includes the expansion of digitalisation skills amongst a large workforce who currently have varying degrees of capability and experience.
Modernisation of the Catering Services means increased reliance on e-learning platforms, and digitally supported administration processes in terms of record keeping, ordering and communication.
All Council employees now require digital awareness/skills to effectively undertake and develop in their roles. The Training and Compliance Officer will overcome barriers to skills attainment by delivering digital training with accessible support materials to the workforce to enable them to thrive in the digital environment. Effective training delivery will result in improved compliance with digital processes and the Training and Compliance Officer will be responsible for monitoring the impact that the training delivered is having on this.
Key Responsibilities
Have experience of planning and delivering Digital Skills or ICT learning to a variety of people and experience of creating and preparing materials for learners.

- Create and update user guidance documentation for digital tools.
- Plan and facilitate digital skills sessions.
- Provide engagement and adoption support to staff.
- Plan and prepare promotional material for Catering Services.
- Aid users when requested, on digital tools and technology.
- Plan, prepare and deliver presentations.
- Identify training opportunities and communicate service requirements.
- Recruit, train and communicate regularly with digital heroes.
- Analyse feedback from digital skills sessions.
- Regularly engage in CPD.
- Maintain and update Catering Services communication platforms (web pages etc).
