Trade Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with EMEA and global trade regulations, optimizing duty spendings, and driving key reporting and project initiatives. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in customs and trade compliance, data analysis, and project management.

Trade Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with EMEA and global trade regulations, optimizing duty spendings, and driving key reporting and project initiatives. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in customs and trade compliance, data analysis, and project management.
Position scope:
CBAM Reporting Initiative
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) reporting initiative
- Collaborate with reporting tool service provider and drive continuous improvement projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Build relationship with suppliers to ensure data are provided in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Collect import data from brokers and process it to make sure submission of CBAM report for region is compliant with the regulatory reporting deadlines
- Submit report to Authority directly or indirectly through customs broker
- Identify and analyze duty-saving opportunities across the EMEA region, leveraging preferential trade programs and other measures / certification to optimize duty spending
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support business decisions on trade optimization strategies
- Develop and maintain metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to trade and customs compliance
- Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and regulatory adherence
- Monthly metrics reporting of import and export volumes
- Intrastat reporting - collecting, processing and submitting data to national portals
- Maintain and update trade compliance dashboards to provide real-time insights to stakeholders.
- Assist in the execution of regional and global trade compliance projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide expertise and support to resolve compliance-related challenges.
- Review and maintain SOPs, documentation and reporting system
- Administrative support on the new projects such as AEO, Approved exporter etc.
- Daily support of Trade Compliance team
- Post entry audit check of customs entries
- Experience with customs and trade agenda
- Knowledge of EU CBAM regulation, requirements
- Experience in project management / supply chain management
- Good command of English (written & spoken)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Culturally sensitive
- Ability to work with SAP and ERP software
- Data analytics and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, set the priorities and meet the deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data collection and reporting
