Job Description

The job holder will be a member of the UK Compliance, Regulatory, Corporate Governance/Co-Sec team in London and will provide support on all relevant Company Secretarial and Compliance matters. The job holder will also assist, where appropriate, with other related compliance and company secretarial matters relating to other entities of the SCOR Group as may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

Company Secretary
  • Provide assistance with the preparation of Board and Committee meeting information and packs;
  • Responsible for scheduling (and re-scheduling) Board and Committee meetings;
  • Assist with reviewing governance arrangements;
  • Assist with annual and adhoc reporting to Companies House;
  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes, as required; and
  • Assist with maintaining SCOR internal / external databases for maintaining updated company information.
Compliance
  • Assist in the administration of complaints including maintaining complaints records, complaint reporting to Lloyd's / the Financial Ombudsman Service and preparation of complaint files to send to Lloyd's / FOS;
  • Provide support with regulatory reporting, including maintaining the business timetable and advising the business of upcoming deadlines;
  • Provide support in the maintenance and upkeep of various compliance logs, including sanctions, complaints and licences;
  • Assist with the end to end TOBA process in line with agreed procedures including liaison with other Teams and the issuance of TOBA's etc;
  • Perform sanctions and KYC due diligence checks as required; and
  • General assistance in the drafting and updating of policies, procedures and guidelines.
Other
  • Assist with general administrative duties for both Co Sec and Compliance tasks, including for other entities of the SCOR Group as may be requested from time to time;
  • Provide assistance with ad-hoc Co Sec and compliance projects.
Reporting

The Company Sectretary & Compliance Assistant works in close cooperation with and under the supervision of the Assistant Company Secretary (technical reporting line with regard to Company Secretarial matters) and reports to the Head of Compliance, Regulatory and Corporate Goverance UK (hierarchical and managerial reporting line).

Qualifications

Experience
  • Ideally a few years of company secretarial and/or compliance experience;
  • Some knowledge of insurance, ideally in a London Market environment;
  • Experience of taking and typing up of minutes;
  • Experience of company secretarial duties, including preparation of meeting packs.

  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
