Description

You will join Group Procurement & Sourcing division. Our mission is to increase AXA Group competitiveness by optimizing the end-to-end Procurement cycle of external spend (excluding Insurance procurement), while building a high performance and risk-managed supplier based. We have a global and entity Procurement presence with 2 different mandates:

As Group, we:

• Leverage our purchasing power through global deals & key supplier relationship management

• Define & share Group vendor risk framework & outsourcing policie

• Provide and manage global Procurement tool

• Drive responsible Procurement across AXA

• Engage the Procurement community worldwide

As Group Operations (GO) function, we:

• Optimize the external spend by managing categories and suppliers, and challenging the demand to support AXA GO strategy

• Drive vendor risk framework and policies at AXA GO to ensure compliance with Group framework and regulations (DORA, Solvency 2)

• Develop GO procurement processes and implement local & global Procurement tools to support

• Develop responsible Procurement at AXA GO in line with GO Sustainability guideline

About the job

Job purpose

As a Vendor Risk Lead, your main objectives are to:

- design and implement a new disruptive vendor management framework for AXA Group Operations, based on key objectives:

§ Improve operational excellence and become simpler,

§ develop empowerment,

§ and decide by data

- and run all related activities to ensure risks are mitigated.

Main missions

Your responsibilities include:

  • Driving the transformation of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) to review and design a disruptive process based on Group guidelines
    • Industrialize and simplify our processes whilst ensuring customer satisfaction in a pragmatic manner
    • Drive the development of GO capabilities in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on different areas: Legal, Data Privacy, Compliance, Information Security, Operational Resilience, Risk
    • Support the set-up of the process: implementation of the new organization with different divisions, operating model design & evolution and review internal processes in a simplification mindset
    • Be the key contributor in the implementation of new risk management tool to manage vendor risks. You will actively participate in qualifying, centralizing, prioritizing user requests and mobilizing the right contacts (proc tools and IT product) in order to include them into current projects/tool developments. You classify and prioritize user requests to evolve the process and tools and is therefore the representative in front of the IT. You represent users in the study phase
    • Define change management strategy and training users (key stakeholders and the GO Procurement community) Define and deploy ESG due diligence process
    • Define and deploy new guidelines and process to monitor vendor risks after identification
    • Perform external benchmarking and encourage transversality where it makes sense
    • Be very business-oriented to improve AXA GO Procurement experience to all employees by defining sourcing journeys, roles and responsibilities between the different stakeholders
    • Develop and implement a new process and Target Operating Model to be best-in-class and scalable in order to be promoted and implemented potentially in other entities
  • Manage Vendor Risk activities
    • Maintain during transformation project, existing process and manage all Vendor Risks with the different stakeholders by leading risk process within sourcing process and vendor risk committee
    • Co-design with GO Risk and Lead implementation of new regulations impacting GO procurement team notably when related to vendor risk management DORA, you lead the procurement stream (design and implementation) as project manager
    • Actively contribute to DORA, Register of Information for GO products & services
    • Lead activities to support local entity regulations when AXA GO delivers services to the entity as a provider and must respect local regulations (e.g. BAFIN with VATIT regulation)
    • Structure and provide answers to regulators regarding GO/ Group vendors & lead ISAF annual process regarding procurement activities
    • Drive Outsourcing qualification process (Solvency 2) and report on GO Outsourcing critical deals to GO Excom (AOGS report)
    • Work with the GO Risk Team to define and quantify scenarios of risk, follow risk mitigation plan, produce Group KRI on procurement and improve risk profile at the division level
    • Be the GO representative as GO Vendor Risk KBU (Key Business User) in the different communities (Vendor Risk community, Procurement Tool community)
  • Collaboration / Stakeholder Management
    • Work closely with key stakeholders as buyers and sourcing business partners (SBP) on procurement side and experts (Risk, Legal, Data Privacy, Compliance, Information Security and Operational Resilience)
    • Work closely with Vendor audit expert to professionalize vendor audits
    • Work closely with Procurement Performance team to get all group guidelines, group framework and standards to deploy in GO as entity. Share experience and feedback to influence and finetune them
  • Team management
    • Manage a team composed of 1-2 direct reports and 3-4 off-shored resources based out of India
Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

Experience

  • 10+ years of professional experience required in matrix & international environment, with at least 5 years of experience in risk management
  • Experience in Vendor Risk management is an asset and procurement awareness is a plus
Technical skills

  • Experience in working with Risk Management methodologies & technologies
  • Experience in project/program management with strong changement management component
  • At ease with Excel and Powerpoint
  • Languages :
    • English - Fluent in speaking and writing
    • French or Spanish are a strong plus
Soft skills / transversal skills

  • Good business acumen: ability to rapidly understand, assimilate, analyses and act on complex business situations
  • Able to think strategically, challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Strong transformation skills and want to be a lever for transformation and simplification

  • Strong communication skills both oral & written with ability to tailor communication to varying audiences, quickly incorporate feedback and adjust accordingly. Ability to build effective & impactful presentation for C-Levels
