Job Description Role overview This is an important privacy and compliance role supporting our UK business on a wide range of projects with a diverse client base including popular social media platforms, luxury fashion brands, global food and drink brands, consumer goods, media agencies and owners, government departments, banks and healthcare providers to name a few. What will I be doing? <ul> <li>Working with Ipsos UK's Compliance Department, the UK Legal Team, Business Excellence (BES) network from across the business, the UK Management Board and Business Leaders, Ipsos Global Internal Audit, Quality, Security, Legal and Privacy teams to help ensure compliance with all applicable UK and global data protection, e-privacy, information security and compliance requirements.</li> <li>Lead and direct the UK's Compliance Team.</li> <li>Work with the UK's senior management to define, plan and roll out the UK's Compliance annual objectives.</li> <li>Provide operational support, advice and guidance as a compliance and data protection specialist within the UK business.</li> <li>Review and negotiate relevant clauses and/or policies in client agreements. Compliance Analyst

We are recruiting a Financial Compliance Officer to join our Finance team based in our Sheffield office which supports DLA Piper's operations and local finance teams in more than 30 different countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and Middle East. The Financial Compliance Team is a developing 2nd line function, responsible for five key areas; ensuring a robust financial governance framework is in place in all countries and risks are proactively mitigated; developing and updating financial policies across the international firm and monitoring policy compliance; maintenance, evaluation and reporting of financial risk registers, fraud governance and compliance with the Solicitor Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. Regular compliance reviews are undertaken on site in each country to evaluate high risk areas and to test controls, processes and compliance with group policies. The compliance reviews are a monitoring activity for the firm and provides assurance to the Audit Committee over the firm's financial control environment. Senior Compliance Manager

As part of your role, you will prepare end use statements in support of international procurement activities, raise UK export licence applications using SPIRE and LITE (where required), associated record keeping activities in SharePoint to underpin export compliance, provide advice and guidance to AWE stakeholders regarding UK and international trade controls, and provide cross-functional support to the wider Customer Contracts Team in relation to other Commercial activities (e.g Insurance, Intellectual Property). You will be responsible for: <ul><li>Raising UK import and export licences on behalf of AWE;</li><li>Managing Trade and Export controls requests such as End-Use Statements and overseas export controls documentation;</li><li>Seeking opportunities to simplify Customer Contracts procedures and ways of working;</li><li>Defining and implementing internal and external best practice within Customer Contracts processes, and ways of working;</li><li>Being actively involved with understanding, mitigating and managing Customer Contract risks and opportunities.</li></ul>Who are we looking for? AWE is ideally seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist with relevant business qualifications or equivalent experience and commercial acumen (Sub Contract and Contract Management exposure). You will have good communication skills and exposure to internal and external stakeholder management and relationship development. Experience of using benchmarking techniques and analysis of financial and business data. Strong organisational skills, and effectiveness to manage priorities in a multitask role delivering to challenging timescales.
