As part of the day-to-day role within the clients Compliance team, the primary function is to take on most of the volumes of marketing material that are submitted by various product management, client relationship, and sales teams. What You'll Do as a Payroll Compliance &amp; Governance Specialist - International The Compliance &amp; Governance Specialist will ensure the payrolls under their remit are delivered by the payroll team consistently and within the internal and external controls. Duties &amp; Responsibilities <ul><li> GDPR Champion for Payroll </li><li> Maintenance and investigation of items raised on the payroll risk register </li><li> Support the review payroll processes and making recommendations to ensure processes are compliant and have sufficient checks and controls </li><li> Assist with training and of the payroll/P&amp;C store teams on GDPR. </li><li> Obtain and review system access logs for approval </li><li> Review SOPs/Procedural documentation to ensure the teams are being compliant with local legislation/GDPR. </li><li> Build knowledge on the document retention periods required for the countries you support </li><li> Support the payroll teams in completing Internal audits and documenting resolutions. </li><li> Demonstrate and maintain a positive customer service focus to both internal and external payroll customers </li><li> Work cross functionally with other departments. </li><li> Assist with special projects related to the payroll function from a Compliance and Governance Perspective. </li><li> Preparation of Periodic reporting </li><li> Maintain the Global Retention Calendar, liaising with payroll teams/providers to ensure the calendar is adhered to and archiving completed. </li><li> Assist with gathering information for the reporting and investigation of potential data breaches within Payroll. </li><li> Ensure Periodic reviews of Risk &amp; Control Matrices and Risk Registers are being performed by Payroll teams </li><li> Gathering supporting documentation from Payroll Providers on Document storage </li><li> Other duties as may be required </li></ul> What You'll Bring Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued - so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: <ul><li> 3+ years payroll experience is required </li><li> Excellent knowledge of GDPR/Data Protection practices </li><li> Understanding of Cyber Security practices </li><li> Experience of Internal Controls and/or SOX framework is beneficial </li><li> Hands-on approach to problem solving </li><li> Demonstrable experience of working to deadlines and performing duties under pressure. </li><li> Microsoft Excel knowledge to at least Intermediate level. </li><li> Ability to see through tasks fully with minimal support ensuring team is kept on board and fully informed </li><li> Strong analytical ability and excellent communication skills. </li><li> Highly organised, detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines </li><li> Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and team and work within agreed timescales. </li><li> Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interrogate high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview. </li><li> Proven ability in managing sensitive matters whilst ensuring all Primark information remains confidential to the business. </li><li> Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills. </li><li> Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation. </li><li> Operates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact and professionalism. </li><li> Sound judgement </li></ul>Does this sound like you?
